Our mission is to make, mature and mobilize disciples of Jesus Christ in order to magnify God's name.
We believe that everything we do stems from this basic mission; from prayer vigils to caring for infants in the nursery to Sunday tailgate parties. We strive to be a place where people feel welcome and comfortable. We encourage everyone to "come as you are"—you don't have to clean yourself up to come to church.
To that end, we strive to have lots of opportunities for people to connect and serve within our congregation, in our community, and around the world.
One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city." —Acts 18:9-10
While our mission never changes, our vision is seasonal. Our vision for this season at Hanfield is simple:
To find God's people in our community and region.
Acts 18:9-10 says, "One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: 'Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.'" We believe God is speaking to us every bit as much as Paul in this verse. He has many people in this city (community and region), and we are to keep speaking and not be silent so as to find those people.
